When is the best time for bird watching?

Early morning is prime time — 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM is when the forest comes alive with birdsong. Guided birding tours leave at sunrise each day.

We are situated near the Pangot Bird Sanctuary, home to 200+ species. Winter months (October to March) are especially rewarding with migratory birds arriving.

Binoculars and field guides provided for guests.
🔥
Are bonfire evenings available?

Yes! Bonfire evenings are available nightly and are one of our most loved experiences. Gather under the stars with fellow travellers, hot chai, and folk music.

Bonfires are lit from sunset and continue until around 10:30 PM. Please let us know at check-in if you'd like to arrange a private bonfire for your group.

🌤️
What is the best season to visit?

October to June is the ideal period to visit. Winters (Oct–Feb) bring crisp mountain air and the best birding conditions. Spring (March–May) offers blooming rhododendrons and clear skies.

Monsoon (July–September) can be challenging due to heavy rain and leeches on trails, though the lush greenery is beautiful. The resort remains open year-round.

Temperature ranges from 5°C in winter nights to 28°C in summer days.
🎒
What should I pack for my visit?

Here's a handy packing checklist:

🧥 Warm layers 👟 Comfortable walking shoes 🦟 Insect repellent ☀️ Sunscreen 🔦 Small torch 📷 Camera 💊 Personal medicines 🧴 Basic toiletries

🏧
Where is the nearest ATM and medical facility?

The nearest ATM and medical facilities are in Nainital town, approximately 35 km away (about 1.5 hours drive).

We strongly recommend carrying sufficient cash when visiting, as connectivity in the hills can be unreliable. A small first-aid kit is available at the resort for minor ailments.

Carry prescription medicines as local pharmacy options are limited.
🚗
How do I reach from Delhi by road?

Take NH9 from Delhi towards Moradabad, then continue via Rampur and Haldwani to Kathgodam. From Kathgodam, follow the mountain road towards Pangot and Nainital.

Total distance: ~300 km. Estimated drive time: 7–8 hours. We recommend starting early in the morning.

🚂
Can you arrange a pickup from the railway station?

Yes, we can help arrange a cab pickup from Kathgodam Railway Station (90 km away) or Pantnagar Airport (80 km away). Please contact us in advance with your arrival details.

Shared jeeps also run from Kathgodam to the Pangot/Nainital area for a budget-friendly option.
